Old school drawing.

Harriet Brittaine and myself got drawing the old style way with a mapping pen and drawing ink (check out the dinky jar for storing the ink!) Beautiful fine lines and an old fashion illustrative quality that is hard to match with pens.

All pieces are a max of 20 x 20 inches and there is a selection of ceramics, prints and original paintings.

Messing around with...Watercolours?!

Never been the biggest fan of Watercolour as it never struck me as a vibrant medium but check these out!!!! Guess the trick is not to over dilute :)

Maidenhead Art Market Saturday 7th May 2011

ARGH!!!!!!!!! Not enough hours in the day is there?!

Art on the Street in Maidenhead is upon us again :) the event will take place on Maidenhead High Street Saturday 7th May 10am -5pm. There will be around a hundred artists selling and promoting their work including moi. It is a great opportunity to meet artists and discuss/ view their art in a relaxed setting.

New Life Drawings #3

A selection of 2 minute sketches that we usually do before getting into the long poses. It's great to loosen yourself up. Very similar to stretching before exercise! Graphite sticks, pencils, pens and charcoal are perfect for these quick poses.

New Life Drawings #2

Conte Crayons on pastel paper. Quite nice working on black paper as you need to decide the best colours to bring out the lines and shading. You can end up with some really good pieces :)

Yikes! Apologies to everyone who kept clicking to see new stuff. Have been totally lax! I have started Life Drawing classes again so will be posting the results once a week aswell as the usual fashion illustrations and sketchbook artwork :)
