This is my 'Disco Inferno' dress which was selected as a finalist at the Clothes Show Live Young Designer of the Year 2005 award. I was one of ten finalist and sadly was not the winner but it was a fab experience.The dress is manual machine knitted elastine in a ladder effect with silver lurex ruffles. The bead trim was individually hand weaved by yours truly (what was I thinking?!!! I was beading up to the car journey to the show!) and had velcro fastening on each side.
I also beaded the coiled ankle bits on the shoes and the headband which had a ponytail of beads down the back.
